Now I lay me down to sleep
I pray the Lord my guns to keep
If I die before I wake
I pray the Lord, my soul to take
As God as my witness
When Thugz Cry
Sometimes it's hard
[Verse 1]
Born thuggin' and loving the way I came up
Big money clutchin, busting while evading cocaine, bust my po's rushing
Semi-clutching into insanity, they shot at my cousin now we bustin' at they whole family
The coppers wanna see me buried, I ain't worried
I got a line on the DA cause I'm fucking his secretary
I black out and start cussing, bust em and touch em all
They panic and bitches duck and I rush em and fuck em all
I'll probably be an old man before I understand, why I had to live my life with pistols close at hand
Kidnapped my homies sister, cut her face up bad, they even raped her so we blaze they pad
Automatic shots rang out, on every block
They putting hits out on politicians even cops, I ain't lyin'
They got me sleeping with my infrared beam
And in my dreams I hear mother fuckers screamin', what is the meaning?
When Thugz Cry

[Chorus]
Oh why should you send your child off too die
In the streetz of chalk where they lie
And no thugz cry when thugz cry
Dear God
Oh why does it have to be this way, I
Children of today won't stay wise
Let the children hear when thugz cry
Dear God, alright

[Verse 2]
Maybe my addiction to friction got my buggin'
Where is the love? Never quit my ambition's to thug
Ain't shed a tear since the old school years, of elementary
Niggaz I used to love, enclosed in penitentiaries
Still homey keep it real, how does it feel to lose your life over something that you did as a kid
You all alone, no communication, block on the phone
Don't get along with your pops, and plus your mom is gone
Where did we go wrong?
I put my soul in this song, to help us grow in time
But now our minds is gone
We went from brothers and sisters, to niggaz and bitches
We went from welfare living, to world-wide riches
But something's changed in this dirty game, everything's strange
I lost all my homies over cocaine, man
See they asked me if I shed a tear, I ain't lie
See you gotta get high or die
Cause even thugz cry

[Chorus]

[Verse 3]
Will I see if these paranoid bitches, illegal inventions
Bustin' mother fuckers with uppercuts, I leave em with dentures
Cause in my criminal mind nobody violates the Don,
I write your name on a piece of paper and now your family's gone
While approach and shake like you can handle me team
So merciless in my attack it'll take command of your dreams
Leaving mother fuckers drowning in they own blood
Clownin, taking pictures
Later, laugh at them punk bitches, that turned snitches
Regulate my area the terror I represent
Make your people disappear, you wondering where they went
I am I cold or is it just I sold me soul
Addicted to these streets to find true peace, I'm told
Come take my body God, don't let me suffer any longer
Smoke a pound of marijuana so I know it ain't long
Where is the end to all my misery?
Is there a close, I suppose that's why I murder my foes
When Thugz Cry

I shed tattoo tears for years
My dead homeboyz and my in prison niggaz
Y'all ain't never heard my cries
Now you wonder why would you die?

[Chorus] 2x

This Site's Mission
The site showcases Tupac Shakur, a multi-talented legend, who was born in New York, New York on June 16, 1971 and died from fatal gun shot wounds in Las Vegas, Nevada on September 13, 1996. Not only famous for his music, he was also a well respected actor with several films.

2Pac was a deep, multi-faceted individual. 2Pac's lyrics always went deep into the meaning of many political and social subjects including violence, drug abuse, teenage pregnancy and broken families. He was well read as noted by his extensive reading list. 2Pac's poetry also reflected his many sides, some poems were motivated by love, others seeking to understand himself better and others by the cruel injustices of America and society.

2Pac was famous for being down to die for everything he represented -- always real and upfront. Some people consider 2Pac a modern-day prophet. Reading some of 2Pac's interviews, lyrics and quotes, its not hard to see why.

Being real and upfront, trouble always seemed to come naturally. Tupac was charged with rape, a crime he did not commit, but was still convicted of sodomy (forcibly touching the buttocks). Many witnesses seen the girl who made these accusations voluntarily give 2Pac oral sex on a night club dance floor. Tupac was also charged with shooting two off-duty police officers, but those charges were dropped due to insufficient evidence. The fatal shooting in Vegas was the second shooting 2Pac was involved. The first occured in 1994 in New York.

Most likely, 2Pac's killer was Orlando Anderson, a south-side crip. Theories abound as to who coordinated the hit. Some believe it happened spur of the moment out of Orlando's rage. Others believe Suge Knight had 2Pac killed. The Las Vegas Times recently reported Biggie Smalls had 2Pac killed. Still others, believe it was an elaborate scheme and 2Pac is still alive (he faked his own death).

This site contains pictures of 2Pac, the latest news about 2Pac products and projects, information on 2Pac's tattoos, and anything else 2Pac related. The mission of this site is to show all sides of Tupac -- his thoughts, inspirations, and direction in life. All of this is to be shown through Tupac's lyrics, poetry, and interviews. Hopefully, we can give you a better understanding of Tupac Shakur.
