Dominque: What do you feel when you hear a record like Tupac's new
one?
Man: I love Tupac's new record
Dominque: right, but don't you feel like that creates tension between
East and West?
Dominque: He's talking about killing people, I had sex with your wife
and not in those words, but
he's talking about I wanna see you deceased. (after each question or
sentence, a sound affect get's
louder and louder untill Domique's last words)
Tupac:
No dought
To Live & Die in LA
California--whatcha saying about Los Angeles
still the only place for me that never ?
To Live and Die in LA
when everyday we try a fatin' our pockets
Us niggas' hustle for the cash so it's hard to knock it
Everybody got their own thang currency chasin'
World wide thru the hard times worrying faces
Shed tears as we burry niggas' close to heart
Oh was a friend now a ghost in the dark
Cold hearted--my nigga got smoked by a feen
Trying to floss on em'
blind to a broken man's dream
a hard lesson--caught cases--keep who's guessin'
plea bargain aint an option now--so I'm stessin'
Cost me more to be free than a life in the penn
making money off of cuss words--writing again
Learn how to think ahead--so I fight with my pin
late night down Sunset like in a scene
What's the worst they could do to a nigga
got me lost in hell--To Live and Die in LA
on bail--my angels sing...
Chorus: To live and Die in La, it's the place to be
you've got to be there to know it
where everybody wanna see
It's the city of angles and constant danger
South Central LA--can't get no stranger
full of drama like a soap opera
on the curb
watching the ghetto bird hellocopters
I observe--so many niggas'
getting 3 strikes--tossed in jail
so where's the penn--right across from hell
I can't cry--cause it's on now
living life thug style--so I can't smile
writing to my peoples
when they ask for pictures
50 cali thug niggas
[haha]
better learn about the dress code
B's and C's--all them other niggas' copycats
these is G's
I love Cali like I love woman
cause every nigga in LA
gotta little bit of thug in em'
We might fight with each other
but I promise you this
we will burn this shit down--get us piss
To Live & Die in LA
Chorus: To Live & Die in LA, it's the place to be
[Tupac: Let my angel sing]
you've got to be there to know it
where everybody wanna see
What would be LA with out Mexicans
Black love--Brown pride
in the set's again--Pete Wilson
trying to see us all broke
remember K day
weekends--crenshaw--MLK
automatics rang free cause
niggas' lost their way
gang signs being showed
nigga love your hood
but reconize and it's all good
where the weed at--niggas getting shermed out
Snoop Dogg and his homie's burned out
M-O-B
Big Suge in the lo lo
bounce and turn
Dogg Pound in the Lex
with an ounce to burn
got them watts niggas with me
they got some hash
took a stash
left the rest for me
Neckbone--Dreray--Ron too
Big Rock got knocked
but this one's for you
I hit the studio and drop a jewel
open and play
getting high--watching time fly
To LIve & Die in LA
Chorus
Tupac: This goes out for 92.3--all the radio stations
that be bumping my shit
This goes out to all the magazines
that supported me
All the real mothafuckas'
all the stores--LA--California
This Site's Mission
The site showcases Tupac Shakur, a multi-talented legend, who was born in New York, New York on June 16, 1971 and died from fatal gun shot wounds in Las Vegas, Nevada on September 13, 1996. Not only famous for his music, he was also a well respected actor with several films.
2Pac was a deep, multi-faceted individual. 2Pac's lyrics always went deep into the meaning of many political and social subjects including violence, drug abuse, teenage pregnancy and broken families. He was well read as noted by his extensive reading list. 2Pac's poetry also reflected his many sides, some poems were motivated by love, others seeking to understand himself better and others by the cruel injustices of America and society.
2Pac was famous for being down to die for everything he represented -- always real and upfront. Some people consider 2Pac a modern-day prophet. Reading some of 2Pac's interviews, lyrics and quotes, its not hard to see why.
Being real and upfront, trouble always seemed to come naturally. Tupac was charged with rape, a crime he did not commit, but was still convicted of sodomy (forcibly touching the buttocks). Many witnesses seen the girl who made these accusations voluntarily give 2Pac oral sex on a night club dance floor. Tupac was also charged with shooting two off-duty police officers, but those charges were dropped due to insufficient evidence.
The fatal shooting in Vegas was the second shooting 2Pac was involved. The first occured in 1994 in New York.
Most likely, 2Pac's killer was Orlando Anderson, a south-side crip. Theories abound as to who coordinated the hit. Some believe it happened spur of the moment out of Orlando's rage. Others believe Suge Knight had 2Pac killed. The Las Vegas Times recently reported Biggie Smalls had 2Pac killed. Still others, believe it was an elaborate scheme and 2Pac is still alive (he faked his own death).
This site contains pictures of 2Pac, the latest news about 2Pac products and projects, information on 2Pac's tattoos, and anything else 2Pac related. The mission of this site is to show all sides of Tupac -- his thoughts, inspirations, and direction in life. All of this is to be shown through Tupac's lyrics, poetry, and interviews. Hopefully, we can give you a better understanding of Tupac Shakur.
